Mark Heenan Media commenced in August 2016 with a focus on delivering a professional Media Public Relations service in the wider Geelong region.
Mark has more than 15 years’ experience in the media communications industry. He began his media career in radio at Geelong’s K-Rock 95.5FM in the sports department in his final year of school in 2000. Since then he has followed his dream to work in the competitive world of sports journalism, news, public relations and media relations. He has turned his media skills to television, newspaper and online news. His work included a stint at News Limited as Herald Sun AFL website assistant editor, sports journalist role with Australian Associated Press (AAP) and a role as Australian sports radio correspondent with Radio Sport in New Zealand.
He has worked as the sports coordinator with the Ocean Grove Voice. More recently he was appointed the Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association press officer with his work published in the Geelong Advertiser and Bellarine and Surf Coast Echo publications. In September 2016, he became an official member of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce. This year, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Public Relations) at the Deakin University Waurn Ponds campus.
